NEW YORK FASHION WEEK SPRING 2012: BIBHU MOHAPATRA

Indian origin BIBHU MOHAPATRA showcased his latest collection at the mercedesbenz fashion week. He is a product of F.I.T ,who becamethedesign director of J.MENDEL in 1999. He was known to have given j.Mendel a youthful makeover that became an instant hit! After almost 10 years he parted ways to start his own label and since then he has never failed at showcasing a brilliant collection! His spring 2012 was no different. Breezy silhouettes in pastel shades infused with blacks and greys with lots of texture. Wish some of our Indian designers take a cue from his collection to make some beautiful wearable clothes instead of trying to be overtly creative and kitschy! Loved every piece. Such a pleasant and wearable collection. Every piece can be worn and thats what ready to wear is all about!
