VOGUE ITALIA SHOCKS AGAIN!!!!

Vogue ITALIA just can't stay away from controversy. Not understanding if editor FRANCA SOZZANI is doing it for publicity or just for fashions sake! Just recently she had to apologize after an uproar over an alleged racist article on the magazines website about, what they called , " slave earrings", the style of earrings worn by " women of color" who were brought to the southern united states during the slave trade era. But soon the editor apologized and said it was a misunderstanding owing to poor translation. Whatever the reason it sure did ignite a controversy! Yet again vogue ITALIA is back in the limelight with it's highly anticipated September issue cover that features a 40 year old model STELLA TENNANT , a mother of four paying homage to the late ETHEL GRANGER, the English woman famous for her 13 inch waist and had a penchant for piercings!

It's the AVANT GARDE featuring the model with a tiny waist and several piercings. Shot bySTEVEN MEISEL , Stella is dressed in a black PRADA coat. The cover was photoshopped to achieve that tiny waist . It looks eerie if u look at it for long with that background and the makeup, dunno..as I kept looking at it I was feeling a lil disturbed. Now here is a look at the ETHEL GRANGER. SHE IS CONSIDERED AS THE WOMAN WITH THE SMALLEST WAIST IN THE HISTORY( no idea how she managed that) it's said that her husband had an obsession with small waists and piercings.
