BEST SHOES: NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

The Best Shoes of NYFW
From Cinderella-worthy slippers to undeniably-sexy stilettos, New York Fashion Week was filled with showstopping footwear. Check out the most dazzling shoes of Spring 2012!

Vera Wang
If you're going to take a tumble down the rabbit hole, it might as well be in a pair of fierce heels! Vera Wang's Alice in Wonderland-inspired collection boasted wholly modern heels with geometric cutouts and bubbly platforms.

Altuzarra
Altuzarra's sultry white lace-up heels rocked the runway during New York Fashion Week. Sexy cutouts and silver grommet details made these sandals ones to keep an eye out for come spring!

Rodarte
Inspired by Van Gogh and Sleeping Beauty, the Mulleavy sisters brought a modern fairytale to life with their Spring collection. It's hard not to be mesmerized by Rodarte's statuesque metallic platform sandals with subtle blue trim. Gorgeous!

Prabal Gurung
With a new more daring direction, Prabal Gurung punctuated a heavily-detailed collection with strappy purple pumps. Color-block straps, mixed materials and lacing made for ornate, yet hip spring shoes.

Narciso Rodriguez
With glimmering snakeskin and seductive cutouts, what well-pedicured foot wouldn't want to slip on a pair of Naricoso Rodriguez's sexy spring sandals? Team the foxy heels with the brand's geometric RTW or a sultry cocktail dress for a knockout effect.

Oscar de la Renta
If Cinderella needs a new pair of slippers, Oscar de la Renta is the man for the job. Sheer mesh booties with crystal-adorned T-strap details glistened on the runway, adding modern elegance to his voluminous ballgowns.

Nanette Lepore
One part Barbie, one part sex kitten, Nanette Lepore's hot pink triple strap heels were right on the money for spring. Thanks to their unexpectedly exotic texture, modern ankle straps and girly bows, the heels are the perfect balance of strong and feminine.

L.A.M.B.
Given that Gwen Stefani designs pieces for L.A.M.B. with her own fantasy closet in mind, the mom on-the-go must currently be craving rich color. Teamed with a pair of slouchy harem pants, these electric blue suede sandals would look just right on the effortlessly chic cool girl on the go, thanks to their sturdy platform and hefty straps.

Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera knows exactly how to balance classic femininity with unexpectedly modern elements. Check out her sunny yellow wedges, which boasted practically invisible twisted straps over the toes.

Helmut Lang
Helmut Lang's graphic color-block wedges offered the perfect foil to the standard summery wedge. With white toe straps and black ankle cuffs, these heels would look right at home on the streets of NYC.

Elie Tahari
Elie Tahari was one of a few designers who took an exotic approach to spring footwear. With carefully etched cutouts, the snakeskin sandals were neutral enough for day, yet sultry enough for night.

Cushnie et Ochs
Cushnie et Ochs designed the ideal platform pump for the modern day Barbie girl. The bubblegum pink heels feature ultra-fierce metal spiked heels for the perfect balance of sassy and sweet.

BCBG Max Azria
What do you get when you combine of-the-moment tribal details with a classically sexy shape? BCBG Max Azria's perfect spring sandal, which contrasted neatly with the brand's floaty silhouettes and vibrant color palette.

Anna Sui
Anna Sui isn't afraid to have fun with footwear as evidenced by the glittery black-and-purple spectators that trotted down the runway during her Spring 2012 show. Striped wedges and grosgain laces were the finishing touches to these utterly-whimsical brogues.
