TRIED&TESTED: DIOR ADDICT EXTREME LIPSTICK

Ever since i heard that Dior was launching their range of Addict extreme lipsticks i was waiting with bated breath to get my hands on them and i finally did!yay! The lipsticks are divided into 4 shade groups, and a collection of four nail polishes that match the four stand-out shades from each Addict Extreme group of shades (Incognito, Riviera, Plaza and Lucky). i think they have about 17 lipstick shades.They were launched this month.

This is how the lipstick looks!i love how dior makes the most luxurious packaging for their products!

 What it claims:An extremely long-wearing lipstick that provides radiant shine. 

What it does:

This long-wearing lipstick goes the distance, resisting fading while adding bold color and beautiful shine. The expert formula combines waxes, radiant oils, and hyaluronic 

microspheres for ultimate comfort and a lip-plumping effect.

so i got two lipstkics from the collection and i got them in shades Incognito and Black tie. As you can see in the below pictures, the colors are from two ends of a spectrum!so what do i think of these lipsticks?

The one on the left is black tie,ok i know it looks super dark and very gothic but trust me it is not that bad. if you apply it ever so lightly it gives you a gorgeous light berry shade to your lips.almost like the bitten lip color!!!and if you like to go dark just layer it a little more and you get a nice berry shade. 

The other shade is Incognito and apparently its their best selling shade. its a light beige  nude pink color and if you ask me its a bit too light for my yellow undertone skin. 

Now you must be wondering so why did she even buy these two colors if she sounds like she is not that satisfied????

weellllll,i bought it coz when i combined the two colors i got the perfect nude pink shade!!!i have been dying to get a shade that gives my lips a natural pink tone and yes i was happy with my bobbi brown lip color but this i love because it is more pigmented(i apply incognito first and use my fingers to slightly pat the black tie color onto the lips). i also bought for another reason and that being i use these colors on my cheeks!

what i love about these lipsticks is the multitude of shades you can create by just using two colors. if i want to wear a very very nude, barely there color i apply just Incognito,if i want that perfect pink pout i mix the two colors ever so lightly and this pink can be made darker or lighter depending upon the amount of each color used and lastly with the shade Black tie you can do almost 3 different shades!so isnt that amazing!

i use Incognito on my cheeks instead of a blush and it glides on super smooth and gives your skin this awesome dewy glow without looking too oily or unnatural(as if there is too much color on your ckeeks!).

These lip colors are highly pigmented and i just looovvvveee that but not in a very overwhelming way ,that the color looks too obvious!

I know the USP of these lipsticks is their staying power but to be honest they dont have that much staying power.The lipstick glides on sooooo smooth and it looks very creamy and after a few minutes i think the water in it evaporates or something because they tend to start looking more like a stain and i really love that !maybe thats why they look more natural. i think its the combination of the waxes and the pigment that make the lip color look more natural. the color does fade overtime but there is still a slight tinge to the lips so thats good for me! 

i think they the most hydrating lip colors i have come across and most of the longlasting lip color are so drying!i was so confused as to which color to choose and i kept trying many different shades and wiping them off and in spite of doing that so many times my lips felt super smooth and they dint chap at all!so that shows they are super hydrating!

so the final verdict is that i just looovvveee these lip colors and i use them everyday as lipstick and blush!so that a double yay!its a bit pricey and if you think it is going to stay put the whole day,i dont think you will get that! but if you need a lipstick that is super moisturizing and highly pigmented then you must try these lippies and you will love them. but make sure you check the colors on your lips before deciding which shade to buy as most of the colors look super bright but when you try them on your lips that isnt the case!i am soooo not a dark color person but i bought black tie! 

So try these lipsticks and you might just love them as much as i do. i am contemplating about buying the super bright shades in Lucky and Riviera!!!

DIOR VERNIS ADDICT EXTREME IN INCOGNITO!!!

I am beyond obsessed with this nail color!!!its from Dior's latest Addcit Extreme range of nail colors which i had been dying to get my hands on.by now everyone who knows me know that i have a weakness for nail colors in  yummy hues!!!after obsessing over Chanel's nail color in the shade April from their spring 2012 collection all last month,i found another love!!!this new collection has four gorgeous colors!i got the shade Incognito.planning to get Lucky this week!

Incognito is such a pretty pink beige color.almost a nude shade!sorry about the pathetic state of my hands,i just havent gotten the time these days to go for regular manis and pedis!soooo...the photograph or my hands dont do any justice to this super pretty color.i feel my fingers look more elegant and elongated with this nail color on!its very sophisticated and french!oh the two things i love the most about these polishes are that they are chip free for almost a week and they dry real quick!(as gorgeous as the Chanel colors,they take ages to dry!)so i loooovvvee this nail color now and i cant wait to try the other shades as well!i know they are a bit pricey but hey off late i havent really splurged on too many things!but i did get the dior addict extreme lipsticks...yea..couldnt help it!!!i will review them soon.just got them yesterday!:)

MAX FACTOR FALSE EFFECT FUSION MASCARA

This has got to be my favorite Drugstore find mascara ever!!!!when it comes to mascaras i always always look for pigment(has to be super dark),volume and curl!!!i always keep going back to my dior show mascara and the estee lauder one. but i recently discovered this,it is both the mascaras combined into one!yes its that good!and that too for 1/4th the price i guess!!!i love how it makes my lashes look super thick and helps them stay put curled.although many mascaras promise to keep the lashes curled for a long time ,it almost never happens!the lashes tend to fall flat(even if i curl them!!) and i hate that!btw i apply mascara first and then curl my lashes(i know many people say that it weakens your lashes but i have been doing this for years now and nothing of that sort has happened to me..lucky me!)the brush of this mascara is super awesome .i think it has rubber bristles and they separate the lashes very well and lengthen them too. oh did i mention,the mascara doesnt clump at all!!the mascara is build able too so if you are looking for just a natural effect just apply little else if you looking for va va voom lashes layer it on!!!it does claim to give you false lash effect but obviously thats not possible but its the closest you can get to having falsies(fyi i still havent figured out how to apply false lashes!!)so try it and its a great product that wont break your bank balance!

MY MUST HAVE LIP PRODUCTS OF THE MOMENT!

I am just obsessed with these lip products and i use them every single day,day&night!!

First up is this Lip Scrub from Lush!its called the Bubblegum!its a sugar lip scrub that helps in exfoliating your lips!i love this super cute pink lip scrub!it contains castor sugar and organic jojoba oil and its really good!i have been using this for a month now everyday and i have noticed a tremendous change in my lip texture and color. my lips feel super super soft and healthy and have gained their pinkness back!!!i love this lip scrub and its simple to use.take a small amount and rub it into your lips for atleast a minute and voila!ur lips are super soft and prepped for the lippy!and btw it tastes yum!!!love!!!

Next up is the Mac Tinted Lip Conditioner in Fuchsia Fix. Its a gorgeous pink lip conditioner that keeps my lips soft and supple. it has a subtle pink tint to it and i love it!it has SPF 15 too!isnt that awesome!!!it looks like a bright coral pink in the pic but it isnt!its a lovely pink that suits all skin tones and gives you that natural pink tint!

This is My favorite Lipstick at the moment!its the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in the shade Italian Rose(no.9). its a beautiful nude rose shade!its perfect for the day it gives the natural rose tinge to the lips and for the night,just top it off with a gloss and it looks soooo gorgeous!!i looovvee the texture!it is just sooo creamy and moisturizing! i was looking for a creamy lipstick that dint have too much shine and i found it. the creamy lip color series has a lot of gorgeous shades!i am going to try some more shades soon!

I was recently introduced to Illamasqua and i am obsessed with this brand!!!they have some serious awesome stuff!!i got this sheer lip gloss in the shade Enchant and i absolutely loovveee it!its a gorgeous nude shade with a hint of shimmer!again what i love about this gloss is the texture!it goes on smoothly and doesnt feel sticky at all and stays put without feeling sticky n funny and although its a sheer gloss, it has a strong pigment so the color stays put on the lips!thats the thing i love about Illamasqua, their products have strong pigments and the color doesnt budge at all!!!and they are priced reasonably and they have gorgeous shades!so next time you come across an Illamasqua counter dont forget to check out their products!

TRIED&TESTED: LUSH DARK ANGELS CLEANSER

Yes!i have become a Lush Fanatic!yet another Lush product review!its the Dark Angels cleanser.

What Lush says: This is our soft black sugar scrub that feels oh-so-good when you rub it in and leaves your skin glowing. The velvety texture is sprinkled with black sugar and powdered charcoal to gently exfoliate and cleanse away excess oils. We add rhassoul mud and vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil to soften, moisturize and nourish skin, as well as sandalwood and rosewood oils to soothe. We're all in love with this daily cleanser (even those of us who don't have young or oily skin can't resist it!).

So whats my take on it???: Lush says its a daily cleanser but i wouldnt agree with them because its a really coarse scrub and its a bit too much for my sensitive skin to take everyday!i use this only twice or thrice a week. its an awesome scrub (i like my scrub nice and grainy) and leaves the skin super smooth after the use.it has to a certain extent helped control the oiliness of my skin and has i think helped even out my skin tone(i dont know for sure if it is because of this scrub as i use other products on my skin too).but it gets a big thumbs up from me for making my skin really really smooth and the sales lady told me its good for blemishes and so far i havent had any breakout!(thats a big plus!)...another thing i like is that it doesnt dry out your skin like the other scrubs i have tried.but it does leave a slight residue behind so u have to make sure that you wash your face really well to get off that residue. the only problem i have is that its a bit messy(or thats just me i guess because i have a white sink and i dont like to see the black residue all over the sink!)..but like other lush products its awesome but i'd recommend that you not use it everyday but then if you can take it ,then go ahead and use it everyday!

TRIED&TESTED: LUSH BIG SHAMPOO!!

WHAT LUSH CLAIMS:

We love salt on the hair because it’s great for giving volume. We experimented with it for a very long time before coming up with this, our ultimate salt shampoo.

We’ve created a rich shampoo base, then crammed in as much sea salt as we could. But we have carefully partnered it with seaweed and coconut to give softness to the hair and fresh lemons and limes to give shine.  We then added a lovely bright and uplifting fragrance of neroli, mandarin, orange flower absolute and vanilla.

So what you get is hair that has lift and volume, but is still easy to get a comb through and smells great for hours.  A big achievement, we felt.

Salt has a second bonus;  because it is a natural preservative, this shampoo requires no added synthetic preservatives. 

WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES FOR ME: 

I had recently posted about my obsession with all things lush and wanting to give my skin a detox and all things natural! my hair has been through hell and back ever since i gave birth to my second baby and   my hair has become even thinner(i have very fine, thin hair)...honestly i am not too fussy with hair products as i just use a basic shampoo(was using tresseme 24hr body)and no conditioner(yes i really dont use one!) and just blast dry my hair if i have the patience.so when i walked into the lush store i dint bother going to the hair care section. but since i had practically bought almost all the products in the store i thought  why dont i give my hair also a detox and buy something natural!so i came across a black pot that said BIG..got curious and i opened it!at first i was a lil put off by the weird slimy looking goop in the pot!but i smelt it and it was so fresh and citrusy and then i read the label and just bought it!yes it was a lil pricey but hey...its all natural!i use it like twice a week so thats ok. i am oficialy in loooovvveee with this shampoo!its beyond fab!!!first i dint know how to use it and i ended up using too much product thinking it might not lather! i was soooo wrong ,you just need a little scoop of the goop and it lathers up really well!

It has coarse sea salt in it(how cool is that)..finally the next wash i got it right. so all i had to do was to tae a small scoop and massage into the scalp and the coarse salt feels good against the scalp and rinse it off!i am not too fond of that super silky smooth hair feeling so i use it without a conditioner!my hair smelled soooooo gorgeous!and it felt gorgeous too after drying!it felt like the sea in your hair,smelling so fresh and nice!i cant tell u how much i love the smell and the hair was super shiny and glossy and my hair actually looked voluminous(thats a great feat coz i have super straight and fine hair)....and it was all bouncy and nice.....my sister has slightly thicker and wavy hair so she felt that it frizzed her hair a little at the ends but nothing a conditioner cant fix!so for those with fine and dull hair this sure gives you just the right amount of volume and super glossy locks!

TRIED&TESTED: LUSH GREASE LIGHTNING

This new years one of my resolutions was to give my skin a complete detox and minimize the usage of chemicals on my skin.so i went ballistic at lush and bought almost every product they had for my skin!i used to always be confused about buying products at a lush store because i would be overwhelmed by all those sweet smelling things and just could never decide what to buy.this time i decided to take some time out and explore all the products this brand had to offer and even researched about the ingredients that go into their products and the end result was that i was totally impressed with their concept!so i went ahead and splurged on some natural goodies and i cant wait to review them.the first one i am going to write about is the Grease Lightning. this is a spot treatment and i have some pesky acne problem that keeps appearing time and again.its a clear light gel that you can apply on those pesky zits and wait overnight for them to disappear. the cystic varieties take a few days though!i apply this over night all over my problem areas on my skin and it has actually helped to zap some zits and also prevent new ones from coming.it has helped in controlling oiliness to a certain extent.so am super happy with this product and its all natural.

it has:

• Aloe vera gel to soothe and moisturise.
• Seawater for its antiseptic properties.  
• Grape juice to cool and calm the skin. 
• Thyme, rosemary and tea tree herb infusions to be gently antibacterial.
• Witch hazel, an astringent that is great for bruising and helps broken blood vessels shrink and contract.
• Tea Tree oil, a powerful antiseptic.

So how good is this product???by now you must be aware that most of my product reviews are positive and so is this!no surprise here as its genuinely a good product. philosophy does amazing products and they deliver results.i am a big fan of their when hope is not enough cream and the microdelivery face wash. these peel pads are a convenient way to give your face a mini peel with just a swipe!i use them everyday for a few weeks and then i just use them once a week,depending on my skin's needs .they are small cotton pads like that i think are soaked in some sort of solution. whats great about them is that they are intensive yet they are gentle on your skin. if you have acne it does sting a little but nothing unbearable!after first use you will find that the skin feels super soft and more radiant. if used consistently it does help in improving the skin texture and slightly minimize the pore size.it exfoliates the skin gently and suits all skin types.skin feels a little sticky after use but it dries up soon after.use it during your night regime and please remember to always use sunblock when using any product that is related to any sort of peeling or dermabrasion actions.over all its a good product that does what it claims.so am happy with it!!!

I LOVE BUYING LIPSTICKS BUT I ALWAYS END UP BUYING SIMILAR SHADES.ITS ALWAYS NUDES AND PINKISH-BROWN SHADES FOR ME ALL THE TIME. AT THE MOMENT I AM LOVING THESE LIPSTICKS SO IF YOU LIKE,DO CHECK OUT THE SHADES AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!AND PLEASE EXCUSE ME ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS. I HAVE ALWAYS TOLD YOU HOW LAZY I AM WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING PICTURES!!I JUST USE MY PHONE AND UNFORTUNATELY AS GOOD AS MY IPHONE IS FOR EVERYTHING ELSE,THE CAMERA IS NOT ONE OF ITS BEST FEATURES!!!

GIORGIO ARMANI ROUGE BRILLIANT LIPSTICK.SHADE:24.ITS A PINKISH-PEACH SHADE WITH LITTLE SHIMMER. PERFECT FOR THE NIGHT WHEN APPLIED WITH LITTLE CLEAR GLOSS.

INGLOT LIPSTICK.SHADE:54. YES ITS A YET ANOTHER BROWN.BUT I FAVOR NUDE SHADES DURING THE DAY SO THIS IS MY FAVORITE TOO. I APPLY IT LIGHTLY TO GET THAT LOVELY NUDE SHADE. 

DEBORAH IL ROSSETTO LIPSTICK.SHADE:800. I PICKED THIS LIPSTICK RANDOMLY AND IT TURNED OUT BE GOOD!ITS A LIGHT BRICK RED SHADE.

DIOR ADDICT LIPSTICK.SHADE:881. IT LOOKS PURPLE IN THE PICTURE BUT IT IS'NT. ITS A LUSCIOUS BERRY SHADE THAT GIVES THE LIPS A BITTEN LOOK. MY FAVORITE BERRY SHADE OF THE MOMENT.

TRIED&TESTED: DOLCE&GABBANA CREAMY FOUNDATION

I had recently mentioned about by complete lack of self control to try new products and how i went and splurged on all things dolce&gabbana.i had reviewed the dolce&gabbana blush in Mauve Diamond that has become my absolute must have and today i shall tell you about my love love affair with this gorgeous dolce&gabbana perfect finish creamy foundation.. i have raved a lot about my armani foundation but thats a liquid one and i wanted to try a cream foundation this time. so i went and tried the Dolce&Gabbana cream foundation,that i have heard so much about!!! first thing that impressed me was the number of shades available and that there were shades that suited yellow undertones.it glides on smoothly and just melts into your skin and gives a wonderful velvety texture to the skin. its almost like a mousse foundation but rich and creamy.it gives medium to full coverage and also gives you that dewy look after a while. since its winter, i have a few dry patches on my skin and unlike other foundations that give me that flaky look,this just seemed to actually moisturize my skin. the foundation looks natural and gives a nice dewy look. although people looking for staying power may not be that satisfied with this product as it wears off soon. i use only if am going out in the night or something, so it stays put for a few hours.once i tried during the day and it just sort of faded by noon.so thats a bit of an issue. but since i dont wear any foundation during the day it works for me!!!so i think this season i am going to be using this foundation.it gets a thumbs up from me!!!

TRIED&TESTED: DOLCE&GABBANA MAUVE DIAMOND BLUSH

I heard so much about Dolce&Gabbana's luxurious range of make up and i was waiting to get my hands on a few products. sadly its not available in india and i got to travel to dubai just at the right time. and if i am in dubai my make up madness comes back!!!(its there all the time i guess)!!!so as soon as i landed i went and and checked out the make up range.i was blown over!!!they have such amazing products!!!!gorgeous gorgeous colors!!!and the packing is oh so diVVVVinneee!!!!I was just in time to get my hands on the new holiday collection. i went a little mental and bought quite a few(the story of my lifeee!!!).i will be doing the reviews one by one. today i shall talk about the Luminous Cheek color in Mauve Diamond. when i first looked at it ,i felt the shade was a little muddy looking so i was a little hesitant but the sales lady convinced me to try it on my cheeks and i did!!!i was so glad that she convinced me to try it!it was just what i was looking for. perfect color that gives you that natural flushed look. its a dusty pinkish mauve with a hint of plum and i think it will suit all skin shades. the powder is smooth and silky,with a subtle sheen.perfect for the party season and i use it in the day too and it looks lovely!but the sales lady told me its a limited edition one:(..i better stock up i guess!!!i see myself using it for a long time till something catches my fancy(bet thats gonna b like next week itself!but i am giving some credit to myself for not going too crazy!!)

TRIED&TESTED: SMASHBOX 'O' GLOW

I have been looking for a cheek tint that gives the natural pink flushed cheeks!(i use the benetint on and off,but the product junkie in me is forever looking for new products to try)and after hearing so much about this product and the chemistry aspect of it ,i just had to try it.so i went and got myself one and now i just regret buying it. the description on the box says that the clear gel will transform into a pink shade after coming in contact with your skin.it just dint happen for me. i have fair complexion,slightly wheatish and it dint show on my skin.it did show on my fingers though ,when i squeezed a little onto my fingers to apply.when i saw my finger get a pink tinge immediately,i was excited and went right ahead with the application,alas i dint see any chemistry happening there!!!was very disappointed!i am not too fond of the silky texture either,it feels more oily than silky.so this product just dint work for me.maybe it will work on people with really fair skin tones.

MY REVIEW:

i have been using this for over a year now (i got myself the 20 capsules pack).it says use it once a week or 3 days in a row to achieve faster results, but i use it like once a month i think!its a good product,delivers what it says!it instantly brightens your skin,i think its because of the mild bleaching effect the product has on your skin.i used it for 3 days in a row once since i bought the product.it was before some big wedding that i had to attend and it did give my skin a deep clean. i havent gone for a facial in almost 2 years i think.i rely on these diy kits like this oxygen peel and my trusted peter thomas roth.you have to keep the product on your skin for just 1-3 mins,(i like that it takes less time)and once you rinse off you can see the results. your skin is instantly brightened,feels super smooth to touch and pores are visibly smaller. what is great about this product is that its good for sensitive and acne prone skin!if used over time it even fades the acne scars.however the only problem i have with this product is the process of using it!yes ,i am a little lazy when it comes to mixing and all!i just like to take the product out of the bottle and apply it over my face!preparing  this oxygen peel is sort of like a chemistry experiment i guess!you have to break the capsule, mix the powder with lukewarm water in the small container provided,then first you have to apply this mixture and then you have to massage the oxygen foam onto the gell!the enzyme gel feels a little slimy!!!but the final verdict is that its a good product and it gives results!

TRIED&TESTED: M.A.C FIX + SPRAY

my friend(a product junkie too)goes gaga about this product and told me i just had to try it!!!so i went and got myself a bottle of it!and ever since i got it, i just cant stop myself from spraying it all over my face!!!the main purpose of this spray is to set make up!i dont use makeup everyday,but i still use it to hydrate my face and it gives a dewy finish to the skin!i just love  how my skin feels so refreshed and soothed just after spritzing it all over my face!!!i tried it after applying foundation over my skin,and it gave a lovely dewy look to the skin!it removed the powedry finish of the make up!it sets eye shadows too and the make up doesnt budge!also the fragrance is lovely !i highly reommend this product.i have slightly oily skin and it works for me!just make sure u spray atleast 10-15cm away from ur face and wait for 30 seconds for it to evaporate!

TRIED&TESTED: PTR Radiance Oxygenating Masque

Some months ago, I was reading an interview of this lady who had flawless skin( don't remember her name). In a picture of her dressing table, I saw this blue bottle standing tall amidst some beauty potions, I finally managed to get the name of the product. It was the PETER THOMAS ROTH RADIANCE OXYGENATING MASQUE. I don't know why but looking at her gorgeous skin, I just assumed that this masque was the reason behind that flawless skin, because it had all fancy things written on it!! It says brightens, evens out skin tone, clarifies, detoxifies with fiflow,symwhite,gigawhite,glucosamine,bearberry,mulberry,licorice,mango butter,sodium pca,sodium hyaluronate and vit c&e!!!!!!now after seeing such Info, I was impressed and ordered my bottle from sephora!!! It's expensive but so worth it!! This is my go to treatment for quick fix facial at home!! It just perks up tired skin in an instant..it is a slightly watery pale blue cream, once applied on skin, goes on transparent and starts foaming!! The foaming gives you a feeling of the product dripping down your skin..it's normal..that's the sign for the oxygen working on your skin!!! Keep it on for 5 mins and the foam disappears!! It looks like you have not applied anything on your skin. Just rinse your face and you will be left with a rosy polished glow!! Perfect to use just before a big dinner party or just to wake tired skin up!!

TRIED&TESTED: TRESEMME 24hr BODY VOLUME SHAMPOO

I had previously used TRESEMME 2 in 1 moisture shampoo and I just dint like it. Then I came across this at the super market and thought, let me try one last product from TRESEMME and bought myself a bottle of TRESEMME 24 hour body volume shampoo! I have been hooked ever since. It's great for my limp hair. I have soft straight hair with layers and it works wonders on my hair. What I love about this shampoo is it gives definition to the layers and just about the right amount of volume to my hair and my hair feels light! It definitely lasts for 24 hrs!! But I have a very oily scalp so my hair becomes limp soon after the 24 hr period and I have to wash it!!! My sister has slightly wavy hair and she loves it too!!!

TRIED&TESTED: MAYBELINE COMPACT POWDER

I am a not a big compact person, I have to admit I don't use one! N then I found this MAYBELLINE WHITESTAY UV COMPACT POWDER in my sisters make up bag n I tried it coz I was having major shiny skin issues. N guess what, I actually loved it! It's gives u an almost radiant look without that sparkly effect! It hides imperfections, evens out the skin tone and glides on easily! But beware don't apply too much, else you will end up having Casper face!!! I dunno why it says it's a fairness compact coz i feel it actually brightens the skin n they are two different things. It suits all types of skins,that's a major plus point and of course it like super cheap! I have only tried one compact powder that's from estee lauder and I found this better than that!! Yes it really is good! They have many shades to suit every skin tone. I tried the nude shade. So try it and lemme know if u feel the same way as I do! But plzzzzzz be careful with the amount!!
